McCracken, who has had a long and successful career at both O’Neal Steel and OMS, has been at the helm as President of OMS since the company was formed by ONI in 2011. For the remainder of the year McCracken, who has been named Vice-President of O’Neal Industries (ONI), parent company of OMS, will assist with this transition, as well as work on projects for the leadership team at ONI. Whitehead succeeds Steve McCracken, who will retire after a 34-year career at the end of 2016. Whitehead is a graduate of Jacksonville State University. He has extensive experience leading several large and successful steel-related fabricating/manufacturing businesses over a period of forty years, most recently as CEO of Manchester Tank, a multi-location manufacturer comparable to OMS in sales volume and employment. ![]() ![]() BIRMINGHAM, AL – Larry Whitehead has joined O’Neal Manufacturing Services (OMS) as President.
